Serenade by Franz Schubert was a piece that was inspirational in helping me compose my composition. I attempted to incorporate a few concepts that Schubert has added in like the left hand part of the piano with the minim chords accompanied by the quavers on the right hand. In my composition, you would see that I have used the concept of the left hand part in the beginning accompanied with the triplets on top creating a curious introduction. Prelude by Rachmaninoff was a piece that definitely inspired me to 'attempt' to add in some crazy simple concepts like the 6-5-1 progression which you should be able to see in the composition. I found the 6-5-1 progression very interesting and took me a bit of time in trying to incorporate the idea within my composition. Also, with the complicated left hand rhythm combined with the right, I took this into consideration in changing up my simple rhythm in my composition and attempted to add in some new ideas I have never come up with before. Rachmaninoff was very inspirational while I was composing. Nocturne by Chopin was another inspiration while writing my composition as it sets the nice and passionate melody which I have also attempted to add in my composition. With the simplicity of the harmonic bass line, it was an inspiration while writing my composition.
